“Discover the marriage you were meant to have.”
Sometimes we find ourselves in a place where we feel like the world is overwhelming us. We find ourselves concerned with our appointments, our calendars, and our daily tasks and responsibilities. Before we know it, we’ve let something precious slip away. And we wonder whether there is any hope at getting it back.
We want you to know there is a hope.
The Hideaway is a rustic sanctuary hidden from the hustle and bustle of day-to day-life. It is a place where anxiety turns to tranquility, and time itself comes to a halt. It is a place of adventure and encounter, a place of restoration and transformation.
It is a place to discover the marriage you were meant to have.
Who is the Marriage Intensive Experience for?
The Hideaway’s Marriage Intensive Experience is for married couples that simply feel like they’re in a place that they can’t get out of by themselves. This includes severe crisis situations, such as couples on the brink of divorce. Yet, this experience is also perfect for couples that are struggling and need in depth counseling.
The Intensive Model of Therapy
Most counseling sessions are squeezed into an hour a week, leaving little time to explore difficult issues or practice new behaviors. At The Hideaway, trained therapists lead focused and purposeful sessions—as much as 30 hours of professional equipping.
Our highly effective format of group therapy with professional counselors has proven that a safe, trusting environment quickly breaks down communication obstacles, uncovers hidden barriers, and quickly moves participants to core issues.
This method has been proven to be highly effective in helping couples in making initial breakthrough and achieving long-term results. In other words, your sessions will not only help you get onto the right track, it will give you practical knowledge to keep you there.

Our four day Marriage Intensive program gives a couple the chance to work within a group context of four couples with two highly trained marital therapists. The couples work in experiential and group activities designed to help them set their marriages on a new path. Therapists work with couples to identify the root causes of their marital distress; then teach each how to take personal responsibility and learn to work together as a team to transform and restore their relationships. Each day couples work in a group with therapists for 6 to 8 hours as well as working with their spouses in practice activities. There is scheduled free time each day and ample time to reflect and enjoy the setting. Couples have their own room, private bath and take their meals with the therapist.
The three day Couple Intensive combines some of the same types of experiential activities and focused marital therapy with one experienced licensed therapists. Each couple is encouraged to discover individual issues that contribute to marital distress, and then move to chose new ways of interacting in their marital relationship. Sessions are conducted for 6 to 8 hours a day for three days. Couples have their own room, private bath and take their meals with the therapists. These sessions are scheduled on an as needed basis.
